    Sec 28.1 Cradle Setup

    The POS Integration Module enables seamless integration between the Payment App installed on a Pax Terminal, as well as a POS client on another terminal or Android device. This module enhances the functionality and flexibility of your payment solution, supporting various transaction types.

    • In the Setup page, select Cradle Setup.

    • Terminal will ask for Bluetooth permission. Allow for scanning cradle Bluetooth signal.
    • The terminal will try to scan all Bluetooth devices in close proximity of itself. Select the correct device and press the Connect button.
    • To pair, the cradle will ask for a password. The default password is 9876, but can be altered by the merchant in a later stage of the Setup. The pairing might take a moment.
    • After successfully pairing the devices, the full cradle function list will be displayed.
    1. Disconnect Cradle: After finalised Setup, the terminal is able to disconnect the Bluetooth connection to cradle to save battery life.
    2. Setup Pair Password: A password is needed to pair devices. This is a security measure to safeguard the cradle and prevent unauthorised attempts to connect and control the cradle via Bluetooth. This function is optional, and it is up to the merchant whether to enable it or not.
    3. Get Cradle Information: It will dump all cradle settings information in case.
    4. Reboot Cradle: Allow to restart cradle in case it is running constantly, since it could lead to overheating or lagging issues.
    5. Connect Hotspot: Allow to create a Wi-Fi hotspot and terminal will connect via this hotspot.
    6. Open Hotspot: When the merchant connects to the hotspot, it is automatically created and opens a hotspot. However, this function allows the merchant to open the hotspot manually if they have closed it at night to protect the internal network.
    7. Close Hotspot: Turn off the hotspot, but still keep SSID settings.
    8. Reset Hotspot: Clear all hotspot settings.

    • In the Cradle Setup page, select Connect Hotspot.

    • After enter SSID and password of hotspot, click connect then cradle will auto create a hotspot Wi-Fi and it will auto restart in 3s. Now should see SSID.
    • Connect hotspot as a normal Wi-Fi station.
